Lowrance iFinder H2O Review

The Lowrance iFinder H20 handheld GPS locater is designed for anglers, boater and all outdoor enthusiasts. It is totally waterproof and rugged so it can handle any harsh conditions. The iFinder H2O is sporty, stylish and has a sure-grip rubber welt seal along with dual processors and a high resolution screen.

The 240x180 high resolution screen is a big 3 inches, so reading it is a breeze. This GPS locater contains a 12 channel WAAS antenna for outstanding accuracy. The iFinder H20 comes with a built-in US basemap that shows highway detail and a coastal outline of waterways, rivers and lakes. This basemap can be further enhanced by purchasing optional MapCreat mapping software or very detailed marine charts. The iFinder H2O comes with an impressive memory that is built into the unit for up to 1000 waypoints and 100 savable plot trails for up to 10,000 points. You are also offered 42 different icons that you can use to identify your waypoints on the screen.

Perfect for boaters and the outdoorsman, the iFinder H2O is waterproof. No worries if you drop it in a puddle or if it falls in a river-it will still operate just fine.

The map has 40 zoom ranges from 0.02 to 4,000 miles and has great dedicated zoom in and zoom out buttons. It comes equipped with audible alarms, Man Overboard navigation and a backtrack feature so you can retrace your path to get back to where you started from.

The Lowrance iFinder H20 easily fits into your pocket and the appearance of the iFinder can be changed by using various color faceplates. Choose from black, red, blue, camo, yellow and wood grain.

Out of the box, the iFinder H20 comes pre-set in "Easy" mode and the pop-up help enabled. In this mode you are offered the basic GPS functions, settings and displays. If a menu item is highlighted for a couple of seconds a pop up screen appears with a short description of that function. This is a great feature that makes the Lowrance iFinder H20 great for the whole family to easily use.
