If you want a GPS navigator that you can use on the boat and in the car, then the Garmin GPSMAP 276C is the one for you. It is the all-in-one navigator that is packed with practical features and is very stylish and sleek and ready to get to work right out of the box.
This portable navigator features a sunlight-readable display and a built-in autorouting basemap that can route you on major interstates and highways, making travel a breeze.
On the water, the GPSMAP 276C is a color chartplotter you can depend on with it's built-in basemap enhanced by Garmin's marine cartography.
The 276C has a Course Deviation Indicator (CDI) which provides extra-precision navigation. This feature is normally found on airplanes, but proves itself useful on the water as well. You will be told quickly if your boat has steered off-course and it will assist in getting you back on track in no time at all.
The Garmin GPSMAP 276C also supports external NMEA sources for water depth, water temperature, and water speed through two serial interfaces.
When in your vehicle, your 276C can guide you on interstates and major highways. You can get the optional automotive kit (sold separately), which includes City Navigator® detailed maps, a data card and a mount.
With this extra package simply load the street maps onto your 276C and set it into the automotive mount to receive voice-prompted turn by turn directions to over six million addresses and points of interest(POI), including restaurants, hotels, gas stations and much more. It couldn't be easier.
The Garmin GPSMAP 276C has a large 3.8 inch screen for a clear picture and several navigation pages like a new Course Deviation Indicator (CDI). This GPS receiver is a 12 channel powerhouse that is just as at home on the water as it is on land.
